Marijo Montrose brings over 20 years of management, health care advocacy, community engagement, and diaspora entrepreneurship experience to Urbane.  

Marijo presently serves as the Community Engagement and Relations Manager to Flatbush Central where she liases with our vendor population to proactively address concerns and uplift opportunities. She also dispenses technical assistance as an instructor and facilitator of the Business Training Skills Workshop and provides translation services to our Kreyol speaking vendors.

Marijo previously served as Administrative Director of Community and Government Relations at Interfaith Medical Center.  She is a certified French/Kreyol/English translator and a certified “English Second Language” instructor. Her work has centered on a) ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies b) using performance based metrics to increase health care access, customer satisfaction and training opportunities in underserved communities and c) providing hometown associations access to diverse programs in order to grow their businesses and make sustainable impact throughout their local communities.

She holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from Long Island University and an Executive Certificate from the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship.
