Natalie Shieh is a civic strategist and interdisciplinary leader with over 20 years of experience driving transformative projects at the intersection of urban development, infrastructure, and equity.

She is the Founder & Principal of New Anthem Solutions, an advisory firm that helps mission-driven organizations and public agencies translate bold vision into focused strategy and coordinated execution — aligning vision, capital, and people to move complex, equity-centered work forward.

Natalie’s career spans senior roles in both the public and private sectors, including leading major capital initiatives and public-private partnerships for Amtrak, driving large-scale master planning at Brandywine Realty Trust, and serving as First Deputy Director and Deputy Chief of Staff in various economic development, planning and capital departments for the City of Philadelphia. 

As Chief Operating Officer at Urbane, she played a pivotal role in transforming a complex portfolio into a cohesive strategy centered on community wealth-building. She led the articulation of Urbane’s vision in ways that resonated with both internal teams and external funders, bringing structure to fast-moving projects and clarity to an ambitious, equity-driven mission. Now, through her role in the Urbane Collaborative, she now partners with Urbane to help organizations implement community wealth-building strategies, creating practical, phased plans that are ready for execution.
